COMPOTEC 2016, success for the CETMA conference on "Composites in aeronautics"

Great success for the conference dedicated to "Composites in the Aeronautics" organized by the Materials and Structures Division of the CETMA Consortium. The event was held on April 7 in the COMPOTEC Fair in Marina di Carrara.

Through contributions from some of the major players in the sector, was offered to the general public this clear and precise idea of some key aspects of the use of composites in aviation. The discussion points have been countless.

First of all the idea that the evolution of knowledge on processes, design, testing and control for composite components is still at an early stage. The opportunities for those involved in research and development in this area remain countless provided that, as noted by the keynote speakers, go in the direction to provide concrete answers to 'need for innovation in the industrial sector.

the conference had as speakers Leonardo Lecce Technology District aerospace Scarl ( the technological development of composites in the Apulian aerospace District ), Claudio rating of the Campania aerospace District ( Mission District aerospace Campano ), Michelangelo Giuliani Redam Srl ( design Complexity, technological and certification service of aerostructures composite ), Danilo Malacaria DEMA SpA ( the road map of the manufacturing processes of composite materials with respect to aviation qualification: opportunities and risks ), Umberto Galietti DES Innovation ( non-destructive tests: the possibilities offered by new techniques for the aeronautical sector ), Mark Protti Finmeccanica ( experiences and perspectives in the application of composite materials in aircraft; ), Giulio Trevisan COMEC Innovative Srl ( Cooperation between research and industry: the experience Comec Innovative ), Dario Fontanella of Hexcel ( Innovation at work ) and < strong> Silvio Pappadà to CETMA ( Development of Out of Autoclave processes for aircraft components ).
