Call | H2020-NMBP-ST-IND-2020-twostage
Project duration | from 01.12.2020 to 30.11.2024
AERONAUTICS | COMPOSITE MATERIALS | INDUCTION WELDING | INFRARED THERMOGRAPHY
Objective | MAREWIND addresses the main aspects related to materials durability and maintenance in offshore wind energy structures focusing on: (1) enhancing corrosion protection systems and durability, (2) effective and durable antifouling solutions without using biocides, (3) erosion protection and mechanical reinforcement in wind blades, (4) predictive modelling and monitoring and (5) increasing recyclability.
CETMA’s role | CETMA will be mainly involved in: blade reinforcement by experimenting the use of recycled carbon fibers, new recyclable materials development for blade manufacturing and synthesis of more durable construction materials for foundations; Structural Health Monitoring activities by means of fiber optics integration.
